- I have a problem I never thought I would have--too much memory! I
- traded for a Phoenix box with a 1mb card in it. When I hooked it up, I
- was surprised to find it doesn't have a 1mb card, it has a 4mb card! I
- already have 1mb chip, 4mb fast, and 2mb 32-bit on an 68030
- accelerator. I have read and been told the A500 w/68000 has a memory
- limit of 9mb (1mb chip and 8mb fast). I know that my 68030 is not
- limited to this. But if I switch to 68000 mode, what would happen? I
- am afraid to attempt it--will it ruin anything? Or would it cause it
- not to work or have errors? Or will it simply not use memory above the
- limit? What will happen if I get 2mb of chip ram? Does my limit in
- 68000 mode go up to 10mb (2mb chip and 8mb fast)? None of my books
- address these questions. I need help, please.

- P.S. - the person I traded with is not an Amiga owner. He has a PC.
- He came across the hardware in a trade to get the monitor that came
- with it. When I told him about the card, he just shrugged and said
- "Well, even better for you then!".
